Experience Indy in Style at the InterContinental Indianapolis

IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury brand, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, is set to debut a new property in Indianapolis this winter.

Located close to Monument Circle and the Indiana State Capitol, the InterContinental Indianapolis will be the first luxury hotel to open in the city in nearly two decades. The property aims to attract travelers with its central location, high-end amenities and a nod to Indiana’s renowned Hoosier Hospitality.

Luxury in the Heart of the City

The hotel will feature 170 guestrooms and suites, including a Penthouse Suite, located on a private floor with views of Monument Circle. For dining, the property introduces two new culinary experiences, including Indianapolis’s first rooftop bar of its kind.

Housed in the historic Illinois Building, originally built in 1926, InterContinental Indianapolis underwent a $110 million restoration effort led by local developer Keystone Group. Once listed as one of Indiana’s 10 most endangered landmarks, the building is now revitalized as a luxury destination that honors its architectural heritage.

Travel advisors can consider InterContinental Indianapolis an attractive option for clients seeking premium accommodations in the heart of Indianapolis.

“We are thrilled to open our doors soon in downtown Indianapolis and bring this historic property to life,” said Michael Moros, General Manager of InterContinental Indianapolis, in a press statement. “The Illinois Building is a true city landmark, making it the perfect fit for what we are creating. Both local guests and those traveling to Indy can soon experience the exceptional luxury service and hospitality the InterContinental brand is known for throughout the world.”

Designed to deliver a highly personalized stay, the hotel will offer a dedicated full-service concierge. This team will help guests make the most of their visit to Indianapolis. Rooms are equipped with a Nespresso machine, curated minibars and BYREDO’s Bal D’Afrique-scented amenities.

For culinary offerings, Indiana’s renowned Chef Craig Baker will lead all food and beverage operations as the hotel’s Executive Chef. Dining options include the elegant Serliana Cafe, located on the second floor, and the Astrea Rooftop Bar—the highest rooftop bar in the city—offering guests views of Monument Circle and the Indiana State Capitol. Additionally, the hotel features the Hyde Park Steakhouse.

Wellness amenities include a 24-hour fitness center featuring Peloton Bikes, free weights and more. Located at the cultural crossroads of the city, InterContinental Indianapolis offers proximity to key attractions such as Lucas Oil Stadium, White River State Park, the Indianapolis Zoo and the Symphony Orchestra.
