Emerald Kaia Completes Sea Trials in Vietnam
Emerald Cruises has reached a major milestone in the build of its next-generation super yacht, Emerald Kaia, following successful sea trials in Halong Bay, Vietnam.
The yacht’s first open-water trials confirmed her performance, ensuring she is ready for her inaugural 11-day voyage from Cyprus to the Acropolis on April 4, 2026.
Emerald Kaia is purpose-built for a luxury yacht experience, featuring expansive lounges, terraces and decks adorned with quality furnishings and decor. Guests can unwind on the Observation Sun Deck, which features a Spa Pool, sun loungers and shaded relaxation areas. The yacht also introduces an indoor/outdoor gym with wellness equipment.
Culinary experiences include the signature La Cucina restaurant, which features an open kitchen. For a more intimate option, the new Night Market Grill offers private dining for up to eight guests at an additional cost.
With sea trials complete, Emerald Kaia is moving toward final fittings and delivery, ready to join Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara. Future sister yachts, Emerald Raiya (2027) and Emerald Xara (2028), will continue to expand the brand’s fleet.

Carnival Radiance Unveils West Coast Itineraries
Carnival Cruise Line has announced 2027-2028 itineraries aboard Carnival Radiance from the West Coast, highlighting two fan-favorite ports: Ensenada, Mexico, and Catalina Island.
From May 3, 2027, through April 28, 2028, Carnival Radiance will feature a mix of Baja Mexico sailings, including:
- Three-day cruises calling on Ensenada
- Four-day cruises visiting Catalina Island and Ensenada
- A special four-day sailing with back-to-back calls to Ensenada on Jan. 3, 2028
- A five-day Christmas cruise departing Dec. 23, 2027, with stops in Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada
Carnival recently announced the Ensenada Bay Village, a new $26 million shoreside destination inspired by Baja California’s culture and beauty. Scheduled to open by 2028, the development will offer a mix of adventure, cultural experiences and relaxation for guests from multiple cruise lines.
Carnival Radiance, a 2,984-guest Sunshine-Class ship, features Shaq’s Big Chicken, Guy’s Burger Joint, Cucina del Capitano and bars including Cloud9 Spa, Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge and Alchemy Bar.
