Celebrity Cruises is redefining at-sea experiences with The Bazaar, an immersive, ever-changing concept debuting on the upcoming Celebrity Xcel. A first-of-its-kind venue, The Bazaar seamlessly blends onboard and onshore experiences by transforming daily and introducing new ways for cruisers to connect with global cultures.
The venue will feature artisan markets and hands-on craft experiences, destination-inspired festivals, culinary dishes and entertainment.
Bringing Destinations to Life at Sea
“The Bazaar is a truly one-of-a-kind space designed to seamlessly integrate ship and shore, transforming how guests experience each destination,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises, in a press statement. “With Celebrity Xcel, we’re extending the destination experience onboard, allowing guests to take a piece of their journey with them.”
Throughout Celebrity Xcel’s Caribbean season, four exclusive festivals will immerse guests in the cultures of ports visited during the cruise. These immersive events will feature regionally inspired cuisine, hands-on crafting, destination-themed cooking and dance classes and live entertainment from local musicians. As the ship transitions to Europe in 2026, The Bazaar will evolve by introducing Mediterranean-inspired festivals, markets and culinary experiences.
On sea days, Market at The Bazaar will bring local artisans onboard, offering interactive demonstrations and the chance to purchase authentic, handcrafted souvenirs. Depending on the festival theme, guests can explore rum and chocolate pairings, hot sauce tastings, basket-weaving demonstrations and unique cultural keepsakes such as Caribbean masks and traditional Mexican leather goods.
Culinary Journeys Through The Bazaar
The Bazaar’s innovative dining experiences are designed to showcase the flavors of each region.
- Mosaic: An open-kitchen concept featuring reimagined, destination-inspired dishes, allowing guests to explore local flavors.
- Chef’s Table at Mosaic: A multi-course tasting menu crafted by Celebrity’s global culinary leadership team, with dishes representing their native cuisines, paired with wines from Celebrity’s award-winning selection.
- Chef’s Studio at Mosaic: Celebrity’s first-ever destination-inspired cooking school, where guests can learn to prepare regional delicacies from each port of call.
- Spice: A casual dining venue offering rotating international bites, complemented by a breathtaking café setting with floor-to-ceiling ocean views.
Celebrity Xcel will debut from Fort Lauderdale, offering 7-night Caribbean itineraries to the Bahamas, Mexico, the Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. In Summer 2026, the ship will reposition to Europe, embarking on 7- to 11-night Mediterranean sailings from Barcelona and Athens, including exclusive overnight stays in Madeira, Portugal.
