Captains on Celebrity Cruises ships are sharing their favorite Greek Islands sites with passengers this summer with a series of Captain-Curated Shore Excursions.
Nearly three-quarters of Celebrity’s marine officers hail from Greece, including more than 40 Captains and Chief Engineers, making the tours a truly local-led experience.

Sample Captain-Curated Shore Excursions include:
- Visiting a family owned olive mill on Katakolon (Olympia), learning about the groves, different oils, and making Greek salad and souvlaki.
- Exploring the Acropolis in Athens before visiting stopping at the Bairaktaris Tavern for a special kebab lunch.
- Seeking out five unique culinary spots hidden in the narrow streets and alleys of Mykonos.
The curated tours are available on all Celebrity Cruises ships sailing the Greek Isles during summer 2022.
Other shore excursions include immersing in the history of Rhodes and Thessaloniki, sampling the distilleries and wineries of Nafplio and Corfu, and wandering the picturesque seaside town of Chania on Crete.
