Custom FIT tour operator Avanti Destinations has expanded its Danish offer and introduced a new customizable vacation, four hotels, and two add-on tours.

In partnership with VisitDenmark, Avanti has developed resources for travel advisors, including a detailed e-brochure and an upcoming webinar on October 3. With these tools, advisors will be fully informed about Denmark’s wide-ranging travel possibilities, featuring 18 hotels, 27 tours and experiences and three customizable vacations.

“Denmark is easy to explore by rental car, public transit, and bicycle because of its relatively small size, excellent transportation system and bridges, flat terrain, and extensive network of cycling paths”, said Paul Barry, Avanti’s CEO, in a press statement. “We have seen an increase in bookings to the Nordic countries in the past two years, as FIT clients look for less-touristed destinations in cooler climates.

The Best of Denmark With Avanti

“We are excited to be partnering with Avanti to promote more of Denmark’s lesser-known areas,” said Ninna Seerup, Senior Travel Trade Manager at VisitDenmark, in a press statement. “Odense and Funen are magical places, and they are perfect for FITs. Visitors can enjoy castles, wineries, beautiful towns with cobbled streets and colorful houses, as well as amazing hotels right by the glistening waterside. The local archipelago is even perfect for island hopping.”

The city of Odense, the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, is central to Avanti’s new offerings. On Funen island, Odense presents a mix of cultural heritage, quaint villages and natural beauty. The city is a starting point to explore Renaissance castles, museums and an extensive network of cycling routes.

Avanti’s new vacation package, Danish Fairy Tales, combines Copenhagen’s urban attractions with Odense’s storybook atmosphere. The itinerary includes a private tour of Copenhagen, visits to Frederiksborg and Kronborg castles and a self-drive component to Odense. Your clients can explore the Hans Christian Andersen Museum, Funen Village and Egeskov Castle in the fairy tale author’s hometown.

Of note: Avanti is promoting the fairy tale theme by offering incentives to its best-performing travel advisors, including a collection of Hans Christian Andersen stories and themed accessories. Travel professionals can register for email updates through Avanti’s dedicated advisor website to enter and win these items and additional prizes.

Two new tours in Odense broaden the available experiences. A private guided tour of Egeskov Castle offers insights into 16th-century architecture, gardens and a unique automobile museum. For those seeking a thrill, a shared walking tour of the Old Little Belt Bridge provides sweeping views from 200 feet above the strait.

Beyond Odense and Copenhagen, Avanti highlights four additional Danish destinations. Aalborg mixes Viking history with contemporary architecture and cultural venues. Roskilde displays maritime heritage at its Viking Ship Museum. Aarhus blends art, architecture and culinary scenes with easy access to beaches. Skagen offers a combination of artistic heritage, natural wonders and fresh seafood.

The company currently offers three customizable FIT vacations in Denmark: 50 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels, and 43 tours and experiences, including the latest additions.
