AmaWaterways has partnered with Ancestry for two new Rhine and Danube itineraries for your clients under the Heritage on the River; Your Personalized Ancestry Experience program. These sailings will include opportunities for them to explore their ancestry by immersing themselves in destinations where their families got their beginnings.
The Legendary Danube cruise departs Nuremberg, Germany, on June 17, 2023, and sails to Budapest, Hungary. It includes options for a 3-night pre-cruise package in Prague, Czech Republic, as well as a new 2023 post-cruise option of 3 nights in Krakow, Poland.
The Captivating Rhine itinerary has a Nov. 2, 2023, departure from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Basel, Switzerland, with an option for a 2-night pre-cruise stay in Amsterdam and/or a 2-night post-cruise stay in Lucerne, Switzerland, and an additional 2 nights in Zurich, Switzerland.

The experience begins with your clients when they receive a pre-journey welcome call from an expert genealogist along with an Ancestry-DNA kit and a five-hour Ancestry research and consultation package. The genealogist will accompany them on the cruise, offering two historical and genealogical presentations, a private consultation, a curated excursion and more. Tours can include visits to ancestral homes, workplaces, schools and places of worship.
