The Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara has announced an additional weekly departure on The Royal Livingstone Express during the 2026 peak travel season, expanding access to one of Southern Africa’s most distinctive rail experiences. Operated in partnership with Bushtracks Africa, the steam train experience will now run three times per week during high season.
Expanded Schedule for Peak Season 2026
Until Sept. 30, 2026, guests can board the Royal Livingstone Express from Livingstone on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. During the low season, from Oct. 1 to March 31, departures will operate twice weekly.
The Royal Livingstone Hotel serves as the exclusive boarding point for the Zambia-based journey. While onboard, The Royal Livingstone Express offers a 5-course dining experience with wine pairing. Guests depart directly from the hotel and travel toward the historic Victoria Falls Bridge. Beyond scheduled departures, the Royal Livingstone Express also accommodates private charters for up to 92 guests.Â
