Riviera River Cruises is increasing the number of sailings it offers solo travelers in 2019, with two departures in the spring and two in the fall.
Riviera River Cruises’ departures for solo travelers debuted in 2018 with The Blue Danube River Cruise for Solo Travelers and the Burgundy, River Rhone & Provence River Cruise for Solo Travelers. Due to demand, Riviera is increasing the number of single-supplement-free departures and expanding them to the Douro River next year.
“These exclusive departures for solo travelers offer the opportunity to experience a European river cruise on a five-star ship with like-minded travelers, without paying a single supplement for any cabin or suite across the entire ship,” said Jana Tvedt, Riviera River Cruises’ U.S. v.p., in press materials. “And in 2019, we’re offering them in both spring and fall, which allows guests to enjoy destinations without contending with summer crowds.”
Riviera’s 8-day 2019 solo traveler cruises include the Douro, Porto & Salamanca River Cruise for Solo Travelers itinerary departing on March 31; The Blue Danube River Cruise for Solo Travelers departing on April 1 and Oct. 18; and the Burgundy, River Rhone & Provence River Cruise for Solo Travelers setting sail on Oct. 31. Starting prices for these cruises are $2,599 pp, $2,099 pp, and $2,419 pp, respectively. While these itineraries are specifically catering to solo travelers, Riviera River Cruises also offers a limited number of single-supplement-free cabins on every sailing throughout the year.
