Shrek, the Trolls and Kung Fu Panda will all be in attendance at Universal Orlando Resort’s latest entertainment offer, DreamWorks Land, opening this summer. In true Universal Studios Florida fashion, this new addition to its lineup includes live entertainment, character meet and greets, a coaster (family-friendly, natch) and way more fun than you can shake a Donkey at.

DreamWorks Pulls Out All the Stops

DreamWorks Animation is out in full force in this new land—think Shrek’s Swamp in all its glory, complete with a 35-foot-tall cottage, an exciting new Trollercoaster and Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp from the hit movie Kung Fu Panda and all its sequels. All throughout, parents and kids can have fun photo ops with cool murals, enjoy tasty special treats, hop around in splash pads and play till the Trolls come home in the interactive play areas.

Among the many highlights are Shrek’s Swamp Meet, where Shrek, Princess Fiona and Donkey are on hand to pal around with their new friends right outside of Shrek’s cottage; Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres with wet play areas and slides; Mama Luna Feline Fiesta, a take-off from Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish that features Mama Luna’s retirement home for cats; King Harold’s Swamp Symphony where the kiddos can create their own frog-inspired music; and Swamp Snacks for Frozen Ogres and more.

In the Trolls area, kids will “find their happy place” at the Trolls Trollercoaster accompanied by their favorite characters like Poppy, Viva and Chenille; they can bounce around under the 20-ft mushroom at Poppy’s Playground; pick up a yummy ice cream treat at Trolls Treats (think pink lemonade-flavored Poppy-licious Pink); and then pickup their favorite souvenir at the High Five Hideaway.

Fans of Po and friends will love Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp, which brings Panda Village to vibrant life (note: kids will get to help Po do his laundry, complete with water cannons and dump buckets) and meet and greet the characters, including the Dragon Warrior himself, at Po Live!

And there are plenty of other DreamWorks characters and animations for kids and grown-ups to groove with during the DreamWorks Imagination Celebration or at the DreamWorks Character Zone, specifically created for meet and greets (note: Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse is there, too!)
