SeaWorld Orlando is preparing its third annual scare event, Howl-O-Scream, with three new haunted houses and four new scare zones—for a terrifying total of five haunted houses and seven scare zones—along with fan-favorite attractions like Manta, Mako, Pipeline, and Ice Breaker. The 2023 event will take place on select nights from Sept. 8 to Oct. 31.
New haunted abodes include D3LER1UM666 Laboratories, which traps visitors in the darkness of an inescapable research facility surrounded by water; Beneath the Ice—A Meltdown, an Arctic rescue adventure; and Dead Vines: Nawlin’s Nightmare, a creepy visit to the home of Hex, a local conjurer.
And then there are the new scare zones: Toxic Turmoil, a lethal landfill filled with mutant creatures and hungry plants; Blood Light District, where unsuspecting visitors are cursed by the locals; and Carn-EVIL Pier, the dark side of a typical carnival.
