At the South by Southwest (SXSW) event in Austin, Texas, Disney Experiences unveiled a fun lineup of upcoming attractions for Disney’s theme parks in Orlando, Florida, including a new adventure for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and two brand-new Pixar rides at Walt Disney World.
A Mission with Grogu
With The Mandalorian & Grogu hitting theaters on Memorial Day Weekend 2026, guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will soon embark on an all-new adventure in Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run.
“The stories we tell are powered by seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology into everything we do,” said Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro at the SXSW event. “It’s a blend of art and science we take directly from our founder, Walt Disney – our original visionary and innovator.”
This updated experience will transport visitors into the action-packed world of Din Djarin and Grogu, making them feel like they’re right alongside the much-loved bounty hunter and his tiny companion.
Lightning McQueen and friends are racing into Magic Kingdom with an off-road rally-style ride inspired by Pixar’s Cars. Expect rough terrain, mountain peaks and erupting geysers as thrill seekers buckle up for a thrilling car ride. Also, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a brand-new Monsters, Inc.-themed door coaster is set to become the first-ever suspended coaster with a vertical lift at a Disney Park.
