In 2018, Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Splendor will offer a 14-day Alaskan cruise roundtrip from Long Beach, California, featuring seven Alaskan and Canadian destinations, plus a day-long visit to Hubbard Glacier and Icy Strait Point.
Continuing in the expansion of its popular Carnival Journeys longer duration enrichment sailings, this 2-week-long itinerary, departing Aug. 25, visits Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau and Sitka, Alaska, along with a day-long call at Victoria, British Columbia. In addition to viewing cultural and historic landmarks in each destination, guests will be able to experience a wide variety of shore excursions, including helicopter flightseeing, rainforest canopy tours, hiking, canoeing and kayaking expeditions, and alpine lake snorkeling. Unique onboard experiences range from sampling local cuisine and activities focusing on topics such as photography, cooking and arts and crafts to a 1980s-themed Throwback Sea Day event. Rates start at $1,369 in an interior cabin.
In addition to this sailing, Carnival offers several other Alaska itineraries, including a two-week-long voyage roundtrip from Long Beach aboard Carnival Miracle in September 2017, starting at $1,549 pp in an interior cabin; and 38 seven- and eight-day voyages aboard Carnival Legend in summer and fall 2017/18, starting at $819 pp in an interior cabin.
