Brightline Launches Door-to-Door Booking Service

Brightline has fully launched its new integrated, door-to-door booking service, Brightline+. This means customers can now pre-book transportation from their point of origin to their final destination across multiple modes of private and public transportation. The new service is powered by Brightline’s new app and fully electric Brightline-branded mobility fleet.

Riders must book all Brightline+ rides at least two hours in advance of a scheduled departure, through either the website or the mobile Brightline app, anywhere within a 5-mile radius of all three stations. Riders will receive a real-time arrival estimate provided the day of purchase and journey tracking throughout. Brightline+ is available free for riders for a limited time. Brightline+ will also provide walk-up shuttles to Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale’s beaches, Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, synchronized immediately upon train arrivals.

Brightline+’s fleet includes Tesla cars, shared electric vans, and Circuit neighborhood electric vehicles (fully electric shared shuttles). All Brightline+ vehicles will be operated by private chauffeurs vetted and trained by Brightline and its mobility partner, Via. Customers who choose to use their own vehicle to arrive at the station can pre-book and pay for their parking through the app and will use the QR code on their boarding pass to enter and exit the parking garage.

“As a company that is transforming the state of high-speed rail in America, Brightline continues to innovate around the passenger experience, and our new Brightline+ is indicative of this commitment,” said Patrick Goddard, president of Brightline, in a press release statement. “With Brightline+, we are enabling riders to book door-to-door transportation in a seamless, unprecedented manner, making Brightline the most integrated multimodal train experience in North America.”

The Brightline+ service is offered in all three Brightline markets. The company is working with Miami-Dade Transit, Broward County Transit, and Palm Tran to produce the first multimodal transit payments integration with high-speed rail in the nation. Over the coming months, Brightline will integrate CitiBikes and BrightBike in West Palm Beach, scooters, and other modes of travel into the Brightline+ service.
