Hotel Milu Milano Debuts in Milan

The newly opened Hotel Milu Milano is perfect for clients who want to immerse themselves in Milan’s vibrant city life. This is the second outpost of the Milu brand, following the opening of Hotel Milu in Florence.

In Milan, the property transforms a 19th-century building—formerly the Mercure Milano Centro—into a design-led boutique hotel reimagined by architect and designer Alex Meitlis, who restored the building’s historic staircase, revealed original brickwork, and blended the structure’s heritage with a clean, minimalist design.

The hotel features 32 guestrooms across seven categories—from single rooms to quadruples—each showcasing details inspired by traditional Milanese materials and textures. Art is integral to the Milu experience. The hotel features an evolving collection curated by artist Carmel Ilan, with striking canvases displayed in both the lobby and guest rooms.

For clients seeking connection or a moment of relaxation, the hotel’s all-day lounge offers a communal space stocked with complimentary wine, coffee, tea and soft drinks. Positioned at Piazza Guglielmo Oberdan, Hotel Milu Milano places guests steps from the historic Porta Venezia gate, the shopping and design hub of Corso Buenos Aires and Indro Montanelli Public Gardens. It’s an ideal base for travelers keen on exploring Milan’s art, fashion and dining scenes.
