Hard Rock International is expanding into the historic French Quarter and the New Orleans Theatre District with plans to open Hard Rock Hotel New Orleans in the spring of 2019.

The property will feature 350 guestrooms, most with a balcony or terrace, and views overlooking the city, including Canal-facing parade-route suites. Walls throughout the property will be adorned with pieces fit to the local music scene, while also paying homage to the city’s historic background. Regionally-inspired food and beverage offerings will be available onsite including a grab-and-go option, a pool bar and grill, and an all-day dining venue. In addition, there will also be an upscale restaurant serving authentic Louisiana seafood. Guests will be able to have drinks at the lobby bar, as well as enjoy a spiked snow ball onsite from the famed Pitard’s Adult Snowballs. Plans for a rooftop sky bar and lounge offering 360-degree views of the city is also in the works. In addition, the property will be located adjacent to two-street car lines, which will allow guests easy access to all parts of the city.

“As Hard Rock continues to expand globally, our focus will be influential cities with deep musical roots,” says Todd Hricko, senior v.p., head of global hotel development for Hard Rock International in a press release.

Guests will be able to take part in music-based experiences through amenities and programs, including Sound Body wellness experiences, a fully-equipped Body Rock workout facility, and Rock Om, a yoga experience that energizes the body and soul through music. There will also be the Rock Shop where guests will be able to purchase iconic Hard Rock merchandise. In addition, guests can take part in the brand’s signature Sound of Your Stay amenity program, which is an interactive music experience enjoyed from each guest’s room. And, for guests of the eight floor Rock Royalty Level and Lounge, VIP services normally reserved for musical legends will be available.
