Florida Keys Welcomes First New Resort Since Hurricane

The Florida Keys is set to welcome a new luxury resort in early 2019 with the opening of Isla Bella Beach Resort.

The new property, located on Knights Key in Marathon near the iconic Seven Mile Bridge, is the first new resort build since Hurricane Irma impacted the destination in 2017. The 199-guestroom luxury resort is also the first full-service luxury hotel in Marathon and the largest newly built private waterfront hotel or resort in all The Florida Keys. Set on 24 acres of tropical landscaping, including a 1-mile stretch of private beach, Isla Bella Beach Resort features four food and beverage concepts, five swimming pools, a marketplace, a fitness center, a fishing pier and marina, a full-service spa, and onsite watersports, plus Atlantic Ocean views from all 199 rooms and suites.

The property’s accommodations include 108 luxe guestrooms, each over 550 sq. ft., and 92 suites with one to five bedrooms, each with over 9-ft. ceilings, spa-like bathrooms, unobstructed ocean views and a private outdoor living space ranging between an additional 80 to 140 sq. ft., outfitted with lounge-style furnishings. Suites will feature a separate living area with a pullout queen sleeper sofa that when combined with adjoining rooms can accommodate up to 14 people depending on the room combination. A number of suites will also feature a fully equipped kitchen.
