The Reef by CuisinArt, Anguilla’s newest luxury beachfront destination, is now open. Located on Merrywing Bay, this sister property to CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa and a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member features 80 guestrooms including 25 Golfview Junior Suites and 25 Seaview Junior Suites in the main building, as well as 30 accommodations ranging from Beachfront Junior Suites to Deluxe Beachfront Junior Suites housed in four additional beachfront buildings.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into the hotel’s open-air, sea-facing lobby, which is designed to evoke a yacht on land with its Italian ceramic tile floors, limestone walls, Royal Botania furniture and an artistic spiral staircase leading to the restaurants and pool overlooking Merrywing Bay beach. From 3-6 p.m., The Reef’s resident DJ will be stationed poolside to spin tunes for an aqua-cycling class. Guests can also participate in sea-based adventure activities such as glass-bottom kayaking, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and a water trampoline thanks to The Reef’s partnership with Anguilla Watersports. For an additional fee, guests can take kitesurfing lessons and experience Anguilla Watersports’ family-friendly inflatable water park Aqua Park at Cove Bay.

At the core of The Reef’s on-property programming is a focus on wellness, encompassing everything from innovative spa treatments and fresh juices using ingredients from the onsite hydroponic farm to diverse fitness classes including yoga with meditation and the 27,000-sq.-ft. Venus Spa.

The Reef’s all-natural approach also extends to the resort’s food and beverage venues. Using a farm-to-table approach that includes locally sourced fish such as snapper, grouper and lobster, fresh produce from CuisinArt’s onsite hydroponic farm, and ingredients handpicked by executive chef Jasper Schneider, The Reef aims to offer a gastronomic journey with every meal. Onsite restaurants include the Yacht Club, serving extensive raw bar selections; and Breezes, a beachfront lunch restaurant and bar with an Argentinian-style grill and wood fire. Guests can also participate in cooking lessons and more through the resort’s intimate Chef’s Table experience. Rates start at $500 per night.
