This week, the health and wellness resort BodyHoliday Saint Lucia announced that it will temporarily close this summer in order to complete a $20 million renovation.
Closing on July 1 with plans to reopen on Aug. 26, 2018, the resort will transform its guestrooms, six restaurants, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities as part of the multimillion-dollar plan.
A total of 76 Luxury Ocean View rooms will receive a full makeover, including dedicated single rooms and twin bedrooms, with each featuring queen-size beds. The rooms will take on a lighter, brighter color scheme with the introduction of new furniture including new cupboards and a mini bar, as well as new artwork and sliding glass doors that lead to newly furnished balconies. The bathrooms in the Luxury Ocean View rooms will also be upgraded with new, fully-fitted sliding doors and rainfall showers. In addition, a new, eco-friendly air conditioning system will be installed in all rooms.
BodyHoliday will also introduce two new villas—Villa Lara and Villa Calypso. These villas will include an apartment and a Junior Suite that can be rented either separately or as a full unit. The larger apartment will feature a master bedroom with a walk-in closet, a pool with a deck, a verandah, and an outdoor dining room as well as a terrace. The smaller Junior Suite will feature a balcony, foyer, and master bedroom.
Other highlights of the renovation plans include further updating the Wellness Center facilities following the 2017 refurbishment, plus renovations to the onsite dining venues.
