In September, Wilpena Pound Resort in South Australia will add 15 safari-style tent suites.
The resort, nestled in the Flinders Ranges National Park in the Outback, features 60 guestrooms, which are separate from the new tents. The canvas tents will feature a king bed, bedside tables and lamps, a gas heater and overhead fan, and en-suite bathrooms.
The resort also features a pool, a restaurant open for breakfast and dinner, and Poddy Dodger’s Bar. Guests staying at the resort can also take advantage of the natural surroundings and wildlife with hiking trails, mountain biking paths and 100 species of birds to discover. They can also arrange for excursions such as scenic flights and 4WD tours.
