Pan Am Launches New Private Jet Travel Program

Pan American World Airways has launched Pan Am Journeys, a new private jet travel program with curated itineraries designed to evoke the airline’s historic legacy while targeting the growing market for high-end experiential travel.

These multi-day jet expeditions will feature itineraries inspired by former Pan Am routes, with accommodations and curated destination experiences included.

“In June 2025, Pan American World Airways took flight again with our inaugural Tracing the Transatlantic journey and the response was overwhelming,” shared Craig Carter, Chief Executive Officer of Pan Am Global Holdings, parent company of Pan American World Airways, in a media statement. “Former crew members, aviation enthusiasts and travelers who remembered the golden age of travel and those who longed to experience it came together around a shared belief: that elegance, discovery and the journey itself still matter.

“Now, Pan Am Journeys is reintroducing a style of travel defined by meaning, elegance and authentic discovery. We are delighted to partner with SafariScapes, whose expertise perfectly complements our vision for our first Africa journey,” he added.

The 19-day A Journey to Reimagine Africa will depart JFK on June 19, 2027, with passengers on board a private Pan Am Boeing 757-200, configured with lie-flat business-class seating. The journey is open to 42 guests. It will first touch down in Tanzania for a visit to the Serengeti National Park,  private game drives, hot air balloon safaris and front-row access to the Great Migration. In Zimbabwe, the itinerary features a private guided exploration of Victoria Falls, paired with serene sunset cruises along the Zambezi River. The journey continues in Botswana’s Okavango Delta and Linyanti Reserve, offering safari camps, walking safaris, traditional mokoro excursions and wildlife encounters. The trip concludes in South Africa, with luxury stays in Johannesburg, a 3-night journey aboard the Rovos Rail and curated experiences across Cape Town and its Winelands.

Accommodations include Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, The Victoria Falls Hotel, Wilderness Vumbura Plains and Wilderness DumaTau in Botswana as well as the Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff in Johannesburg. The program offers all-inclusive dining with premium beverages and gratuities, along with door-to-door luggage handling and a dedicated journey staff throughout.

Additionally, Pan Am has partnered with Holland America for the 28-day Pan Am 100th Anniversary Legendary Voyage cruise in the Caribbean, which features 18 ports of call and was inspired by Pan Am’s ‘flying boat’ Clipper routes. This voyage departs from Miami on Oct. 30, 2027, on board Zuiderdam.
