Eye on the World: China

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

A picture is worth a thousand words, and my week-long press trip through northern and eastern China with Goway Travel left me utterly speechless (in a good way), so I’ll let these photos do the talking. From the exotic foods served on Beijing’s famous Wangfujing Snack Street to Shanghai’s sky-high skyline, there was much to see and eat during this trip. The highlight was easily the waterside city of Hangzhou, located on the southern wing of the Yangtze River an hour south (by bullet train) of Shanghai. Here, I cruised along the scenic West Lake, sipped some of the best green tea the country has to offer, and learned the ancient practice of Chinese Medicine in a museum off the popular pedestrian shopping street, Hefang Street. Have a look for yourself.
