American Cruise Lines ships will have a new dock to visit as the 2022 season opens on the Columbia and Snake rivers.

Port calls in Kalama, Wash., will be enhanced by a new cruise dock, opened in April 2022. American Cruise Lines currently has four ships running itineraries on the Columbia and Snake Rivers, with a fifth to be added next year. Cruises run from Hayden Island/Portland, Oregon, to Clarkston, Wash.

American Cruise Lines boats operating on the Columbia and Snake rivers for 2022 are the American Song, American Harmony, American Pride and American West. All of the ships are modern-style American riverboats or classic paddlewheelers. All staterooms face outwards, and most have private balconies.

The eight-day Columbia & Snake Rivers cruise itinerary includes Hayden Island/Portland, Ore., Astoria, Ore., Kalama, Wash., the Columbia River Gorge/Stevenson, Wash., the Dalles/Hood River, Ore., Pendleton, Ore./Richland, Wash., cruising the Snake River and Clarkston, Wash. Tour highlights include excursions to a Columba River winery, a visit to Mount St. Helens, kayaking and hiking.

American Cruise Lines also will offer an 11-day Northwest Pioneers cruise and a five-day Highlights of the Columbia River cruise in 2022.

Also new for 2022 are National Parks Post-Cruise Packages. The three and seven night add-on package follows select Columbia & Snake Rivers cruises ending in Clarkston and include visits to Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks. Other pre- and post-tour packages include hotel stays and activities like jet boat rides and Flight-Seeing tours.

The cruise line has been exploring the rivers of the Pacific Northwest since 2010.
