As Coronavirus COVID-19 continues to impact the travel industry, some hotels are getting creative and have designed packages for those facing lengthy quarantines.

Dorsett Wanchai Hong Kong and the Park Lane Hong Kong are offering such packages. The hotels set aside several floors for those who quarantined and want to get out of their homes.

In some instances, guests must have their temperatures checked once or twice a day. They can order meals by using online delivery services or with the help of the hotel’s concierge.

Singapore is offering similar packages. The Fairmont Singapore has a two-week package for those who have to quarantine.

In Australia, Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach is offering a “home away from home” for guests required to self-isolate for 14 days dues to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

“Rest assured that enhanced cleaning and hygiene practices have also been implemented in all areas of the hotel. All common areas, as well as back-of-house, are frequently and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to the most stringent standards, paying special attention to high touch-point areas, such as door handles, switches, counters etc..” the hotel said in a statement. “In order to protect the health and safety of hotel staff, guests who are self-isolating will be provided fresh linens and amenities on request, delivered to their door and left outside for collection. Soiled linens will be placed in a plastic bag by the guest and left outside their door for retrieval by staff.”

This is starting to occur in the U.S. as well. Some hotels in major cities are offering rooms to those with mild cases of COVID-19 who need to quarantine.
