Located in Key West, Florida, Parrot Key Hotel & Villas is now open following the completion of an extensive $25 million renovation. The beachfront property features 148 guestrooms, four pools, and a new onsite restaurant serving up dishes inspired by its tropical surrounding. Guest villas are 1,525 sq. ft. and can be reserved as a complete 3-bedroom unit.  Standard guestrooms are 375 sq. ft., and 1- and 2-bedroom suites measure at 675 and 925 sq. ft., respectively, including space for gathering with a dedicated living room and wet bar.

2. JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa

The JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa recently unveiled a $40 million renovation that transformed each of its 447 ocean-facing guestrooms and suites with a Mayan-inspired design that combines modern techniques, traditional elements, and a vibrant color palette. Renovation highlights include the use of furnishings that incorporate traditional Mayan designs, authentic Mexican textiles, and reclaimed wood accents, plus modern, oversized bathrooms featuring freestanding soaking tubs, rainfall showers, dual sinks, and granite vanity tops with chrome detailing.

The resort’s Club 91 also received an upgrade during the renovation process. Located on the 14th floor, the new space features navy blue and olive-hued chairs in combination with coral reef ceiling decor, plus new interactive culinary experiences and open communal table concepts. Although not technically part of the renovation process, the JW Marriott Cancun has also recently debuted a new 150 Margaritas menu at the lobby bar featuring 150 different margaritas subdivided into four categories: classic, modern, fusion and exotic. Cocktails are crafted using silver, reposado and anejo varieties of tequila, as well as mescal, with special varieties infused with exotic ingredients such as black tea, beetroot, and serrano chili peppers.
