5 New York Hotels Celebrating Pride Month

As New York City gears up to host this year’s WorldPride events in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, hotels around the city, and the entire state, are welcoming visitors to celebrate with special deals, packages and more. While the official WorldPride events will take place June 25-30, here’s a sampling of hotels where your clients can celebrate all month long.

5. Kimpton Ink48 Hotel

The 17-story lifestyle property, Kimpton Ink48 Hotel is welcoming guests for a chic stay in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood. Formerly a printing house in the 1930’s, this 222-room hotel now features a rooftop lounge, a restaurant dedicated to seasonal and sustainable cuisine, and views of the Midtown Manhattan skyline and Hudson River. 4. Sofitel New York

For WorldPride revelers who adore Cher, the Sofitel New York is transforming one of its luxury suites into a Cher Show Suite just steps away from the 2019 Pride Month festivities. Available for booking June 10 though Sept. 15, 2019, the suite will feature a Cher Show poster signed by the cast, a TIME Magazine cover signed by Cher and Bob Mackie, Cher portraits by Hirschfeld, and original costumes from The Cher Show. The hotel will also offer a Cher-themed specialty cocktail, Turn Back Thyme, with a percentage of sales donated to GLAAD, an American non-governmental media monitoring organization founded by LGBT people in the media. In addition, from June 10 to July 15 the hotel’s Gaby Bar will host a Proud Hour from 8 to 10 p.m. daily, with 20 percent of all cocktail proceeds benefiting The Ali Forney Center, which serves and empowers homeless LGBT youth.
