Regent Seven Seas Cruises has unveiled a collection of 13 new Spotlight Voyages sailing in 2021 and 2022, featuring curated enrichment experiences. The collection has been designed to appeal to culinary and wine enthusiasts, history buffs, Broadway aficionados and performance art followers, as well as journalism and science fans. The culturally immersive sailings include cuisine-themed voyages with accomplished chefs and wine tastings with renowned connoisseurs, plus panel discussions about the arts and journeys through time.

  •  Spotlight on the State of Journalism—Dec. 8, 2021, Miami – Miami, 10 nights Seven Seas Mariner
    Providing insights into the state of journalism today, some of America’s most celebrated reporters and journalists will host talks and special dining experiences on this engaging Caribbean cruise. A highlight will be a “look at the numbers” with regard to the current and future political landscape with Charlie Cook, editor and publisher of the Cook Political Report.
  • Spotlight on Public Broadcasting: 50 Years of Excellence—Feb. 4, 2022, Bali – Bangkok, 14 nights Seven Seas Explorer
    For more than 50 years, PBS has delivered factual reporting, artistic endeavors, wildlife adventures, cultural insights, and so very much more. During this tour of Southeast Asia hosted by PBS News Hour anchor Judy Woodruff and husband, Bloomberg’s Al Hunt, guests will have the opportunity to meet speakers in-person, attend lectures and enjoy fascinating private dinners to hear more about the acclaimed work of public broadcasting entities from America.

    Award-winning food writer and bestselling author, Mark Bittman, has written 30 books, including the bestselling “How to Cook Everything” and “VB6: Eat Vegan Before 6:00” and was also the lead food writer for The New York Times Magazine.     Guests can enjoy concerts staring Seth Rudetsky, acclaimed SiriusXM radio Broadway host, and some of his favorite Broadway stars and longtime friends. Audra MacDonald will bring her power aboard this marvelous journey, accompanied by her two-time Tony-nominated husband Will Swenson, as well as the Tony winning LaChanze and her Tony-nominated daughter, Celia Rose Gooding.     Hosted by winemakers Amanda Harlan (Harlan Estate) and David Cilli (Promontory), along with director of ultra-premium winery and club The Napa Valley Reserve, Phillip Norfleet.   • Spotlight on Heritage with Ancestry—July 3, 2022, Dublin – London, 12 nights Seven Seas Voyager
    Cruise the British Isles from the sights of London along the shores of Scotland and the northern isles before reaching the Emerald Isle. Throughout this journey guests will explore the power of genealogy with Kyle Betit and Celia Heritage of AncestryProGenealogists through presentations, private sessions, and daily reveals from their experts on select individuals.
  • Spotlight on Wine with Mondavi Wines—July 23, 2022, Barcelona – Rome, 14 nights Seven Seas Explorer
    A third-generation co-proprietor of the iconic Charles Krug Winery in Napa Valley in California, Peter Mondavi, Jr. hosts this Spotlight Voyage, which gives travelers the unique opportunity to pair destinations with world-class vintages and gourmet cuisine through a variety of seminars and tastings. While sailing the Western Mediterranean, guests will gain an insider’s perspective into the nine estate vineyards Peter oversees that produce wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay grape varieties.
  • Spotlight on The World Wars—Aug. 23, 2022, London – Amsterdam, 10 nights Seven Seas Voyager
    Guests are invited on an immersive itinerary through the historic locales of Northern Europe that commemorates the 104th anniversary of the end of WWI, and the 77th anniversary of the end of WWII. Guests will learn new insights from producers of four major PBS series on the histories of The Great War, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, as well as on a special excursion to the Battlefields of Normandy. Invited to speak on these great PBS works are Erik Ewers, Stephen Ives, Stephanie Carter and LTG (Ret.) Daniel W. Christman.   • Spotlight on Cuisine with Chef Tommaso Barletta—Aug. 30, 2022, Istanbul – Venice, 12 nights Seven Seas Explorer
    Chef Tommaso Barletta shares his talent and culinary expertise on a Spotlight Voyage along Greece, Croatia, and Italy. Known for his award-winning, fine Italian restaurants across Southern California, Chef Barletta will host several cooking demonstrations of his family recipes, and design a special degustation menu during one evening in the elegant Compass Rose. In addition, two new themed tours continue the culinary adventure from ship to shore.
  • Spotlight on Wine with Gargiulo Wines—Sept. 29, 2022, London – Barcelona, 12 nights Seven Seas Splendor
    With an overnight stay onboard in Bordeaux’s wine country, guests can participate in wine tastings and wine-paired dinners, shore excursions, and educational sessions on this Spotlight Voyage. The cruise is hosted by the founders of Gargiulo Vineyards: Jeff Gargiulo and Valerie Boyd, who create wine in two vineyard locations in Oakville, Napa Valley.
