Grand Velas Los Cabos has revealed details of its new Dinner Under the Stars experience with a menu prepared by two Michelin star chef Sidney Schutte.

The experience begins with a three-hour sunset cruise aboard the resort’s 55-foot Azimut yacht on the Sea of Cortez. Diners will then return to Grand Velas Los Cabos for a dinner in full view of the stars, planets and constellations stretching over the Los Cabos Baja Peninsula, considered by NASA one of the top 20 places to research the night-sky.

Grand Velas Los Cabos Offers a Unique View With Classic Cuisine

Chef Sidney will offer a contemporary spin on traditional dishes, many cooked over an open flame, which will be served in an open-air beach location under the night sky and complemented by signature cocktails and premium wines.

Chef Sidney heads the Cocina de Autor restaurant at Grand Velas Los Cabos, and has experience in prestigious kitchens throughout Europe and Asia, including Richard Ekkebus’ Amber, Roger Souvereyns’ De Scholteshof and Jonnie Boer’s De Librije. Recognized as SVH Meesterkok, the highest recognition a chef can achieve in the Netherlands, Schutte received two Michelin stars at Librije’s Zusje Amsterdam restaurant.

The Michelin Dinner Under the Stars Experience starts at $30,550 for up to 10 people. Nightly rates are additional and start at $826 per person per night in double occupancy for the Ambassador Ocean Suites. Gourmet meals, premium branded beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, nightly entertainment, taxes, gratuity, and more are also included in the resort’s nightly rate.
