Finger Licking Foodie Tours, the Las Vegas-based culinary walking tour company, has expanded to Chicago with a deep dish pizza tour.

Debuting on Apr. 5, 2021, which is National Deep-Dish Pizza Day, the two-hour self-guided tour will be available every day afterward.

Finger Licking Foodie Tours founder Donald Contursi is a Chicago native and has curated a tour that lets guests sample three landmark pizza places in one outing.

“With the past year proving so challenging to local restaurants, Finger Licking Foodie Tours is proud to provide a thoughtful way to help support multiple Chicago restaurants at one time,” said Contursi in a press release statement.

Guests can avoid the queues and long wait times at the pizza outlets, get seated immediately with VIP service, and enjoy their pizza within ten minutes instead of the customary 45-minute wait time. The tour is exclusive to the host’s invited guests, and includes a virtual guide providing information on each restaurant visited.

Restaurants visited on the tour include Gino’s East on Superior Street with its famous graffiti-clad walls and celebrity clientele; Pizzeria Uno on Ohio Street, which claims to be the originator; and Lou Malnati’s on Wells Street, famous for its butter crust crowned with sausage that covers the entire circumference of the pizza.

All the restaurants are an easy stroll from one another in Chicago’s Magnificent Mile area, and at each stop guests will enjoy a half-cheese, half-sausage pie, made with each establishment’s secret dough recipe and proprietary sausage blend. A vegetarian option is available upon request.

The tour offers flexible start times every half hour, and a professional tour guide is provided for groups of 15 or more. The price is $65 per person with gratuities included, and an optional $35 beverage package provides a different Chicago beer pairing at each stop.
