The Aruba Tourism Authority is offering future visitors a virtual trip to One Happy Island through a series of digital content provided on its social media channels, reminding us all that we are #TogetherWhileApart.
While the island is unable to welcome guests right now, it hopes to share its culture and natural beauty as a source of positivity and comfort in this time of uncertainty.
The new digital content includes soothing island sounds and videos such as 30 Minutes of Happiness, a calming video featuring the sights and sounds of the island; a virtual tour of the island’s Butterfly Sanctuary with local guide, Shanti; and an Island Vibes Spotify Playlist from Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino to transport you to the island’s white sand beaches and turquoise waters.
The content also includes recipes of classic dishes and cocktails to inspire past and future guests to eat like a local from home. Try out local snack staple, the pastechi. There is no wrong way to have a pastechi, and viewers can experiment with a variety of fillings from their own pantry.
Divi and Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives has shared its recipe for the Aruba Ariba, a staple cocktail on the island. The recipe calls for coecoei, a centuries old local liquor first made by the indigenous islanders and which is only available in Aruba, but the cocktail is still good without it.
While Bucuti & Tara Resort Aruba, the carbon-neutral resort rated for romance in the Caribbean, is #BringingBucutiToYou with virtual tours of the property, on-site bar and restaurant. Try out a new mocktail recipe from one of the resort’s mixologists.
The island will continue rolling out bite-sized content three times weekly on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, including a taste of classic home cooking recipes and moments of meditation along Boca Grandi beach. The Aruba Tourism Authority will also soon be launching a landing page on its website in the coming days to house the new content.
