On Dec. 2, Hotel Xcaret held its grand opening party filled with food tastings from all of the property’s restaurants, plus there were concerts, performances, and bands playing throughout various spots on property and lots of dancing, all of which ended with a fireworks show.
The new Hotel Xcaret is located in Riviera Maya and is the first property for Destino Xcaret, which will open additional properties in connection with the Xcaret parks. The next property will begin construction at the end of 2018, and when Destino Xcaret is complete there will be an expected 6,000 guestrooms spread out over four hotels.
This first property is designed to depict the stages of human life as each of the five houses (buildings) focus on a different element such as Casa Fuego, the adults-only building; Casa Viento, perfect for families and adults; Casa Tierra, which focuses mainly on families; Casa Agua, an adults-only building and wellness center, plus it’s where the spa is located; and Casa Espiral, perfect for those traveling in groups such as weddings, or for corporate stays, as the meeting spaces and ballrooms are located here.
