Saint Lucia over the past 24 hours experienced moderate showers and high winds over the Northern Windward Islands. Hurricane Maria has now moved beyond Saint Lucia. The forecast predicts for light rain through the end of the week.

Hewanorra International Airport is open, all flights have been resumed following the discontinued Tropical Storm warning on Tuesday, September 19th, 2017.

Thankfully residents of Saint Lucia were not greatly affected by Hurricane Maria. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dominica, as well as those already affected by recent storms, and those who may again be in the path of Hurricane Maria”, said Honorable Lenard Montoute, Acting Prime Minister.
