Micato Safaris has expanded its East Africa portfolio with two 15-day itineraries that blend a wildlife focus with distinctive architectural designs. Launching Sept. 2025, East Africa’s Golden Savannahs and The Great Herds of Kenya & Tanzania visit regions while incorporating slower pacing and site-specific immersion. Both routes operate with small groups limited to 16 guests.

Safari Adventures
The East Africa’s Golden Savannahs tour pairs Kenya’s Tsavo West National Park with Tanzania’s Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The journey begins at Hemingway’s Nairobi in Karen, a leafy suburb offering pre-safari tranquility. Tsavo West features Finch Hatton’s Luxury Tented Camp, an eco-conscious property near natural springs frequented by elephants. In the Maasai Mara, redesigned Mahali Mzuri provides elevated viewing of migration activity. Tanzanian highlights include Ngorongoro Lodge Melia Collection’s crater-edge accommodations and Serengeti Explorer Lodge’s landscape-integrated suites with private terraces.
The Great Herds of Kenya & Tanzania concentrates on wildlife corridors between the Mara and Serengeti. The Four Seasons Safari Lodge’s elevated walkways enable observation of watering hole activity, while The Manor at Ngorongoro combines crater access with coffee estate stays. Both itineraries include a stop at Mahali Mzuri for viewing the Mara River crossing.
Architectural elements distinguish lodging choices: The Serengeti Explorer Lodge utilizes low-profile designs to minimize visual impact, while the Ngorongoro Lodge Melia Collection employs local stone and timber. The Manor revitalizes colonial-era structures with modern sustainability features.
Each booking supports Micato’s One for One Commitment, which has funded education for Kenyan and Tanzanian children since 2003.
