New 2026 Svalbard Tour at a Glance
Arctic Norway Frontier: Oslo, Fjords & Svalbard with cruise extension (17 days)
This tour begins with an overnight stay in Oslo before travelers embark on the two-day Norway in a Nutshell journey. From there, guests board the 7-night northbound Svalbard Line cruise from Bergen to Longyearbyen, where they will disembark and check into Funken Lodge.
The adventure continues with a series of exclusive experiences, including a glacier and wildlife catamaran cruise, a multi-day expedition sailing through Svalbard’s remote fjord systems and a rare visit to Ny-Ålesund, one of the world’s northernmost settlements. Guests will also savor Arctic fine dining with a specialty tasting menu at the acclaimed restaurant Huset, creating a fitting finale to this once-in-a-lifetime exploration.
Authentic Experiences Beyond the Ordinary
In addition to these tours, Hurtigruten is also introducing its Open Village Experiences along the Svalbard Line. Guests will gain insider access to three remote communities—Træna, Bessaker and Sæbø—where locals lead small-group experiences centered around traditions, cuisine and daily life.
