Inspiring Journeys’ New Tours Down Under
The new season covers both Australia and New Zealand, with fresh tours in Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania. New Zealand itineraries now include stays at Furneaux Lodge, Trinity Wharf Tauranga and Lake Ohau Lodge, plus experiences like the Hobbiton Movie Set and Overland Gannett Safaris.
The 7-day South Australia Murray River Cruise & Wine Journey blends scenic landscapes with culinary delights. Starting in Adelaide’s Central Market, it explores Hahndorf and McLaren Vale’s d’Arenburg Cube. A 2-night Murray River cruise reveals local wildlife and communities. The tour includes Loxton Historical Village, a gin-blending masterclass at 23rd Street Distillery and a wetland restoration project at Banrock Station. It concludes at Monarto Wildlife Park.
The 11-day Kimberley Gorges and Gibb River Road tour showcases Australia’s rugged outback. Beginning in Broome with a Cable Beach camel ride, it covers Wunaamin Conservation Park, Bandilngan National Park and the Dimalurru cave system. Highlights include Purnululu National Park, El Questro Wilderness Park and river cruises on the Ord and Chamberlain Gorge. Guests can swim in natural pools and stay in unique accommodations along the Gibb River Road.
The 7-day Tasting Tasmania and Flinders Island tour combines northern Tasmania’s gastronomy with Flinders Island’s remote beauty. In Launceston, a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, guests enjoy various culinary experiences. Flinders Island features guided tours of historic sites and wine tasting. The itinerary includes scenic flights over the Bay of Fires and Wineglass Bay, exploration of Freycinet National Park, and stays at Barnbougle Lost Farm Links Golf Course. Guests also tour the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Brickendon Estate and visit Devonport for insights into local specialties and craft brewing.
