Luxury family travel to Orlando just got a major boost from the new multimillion-dollar renovation of the JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes.

Partners Weigh In on JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes’ New Upgrades

“We are very excited about the completion of the repositioning of JW Marriott Orlando.” said Greg Dickhens, a managing partner of Trinity Real Estate Investments LLC, one of the owners of the resort, in a press statement. “The well-appointed guestrooms, reimagined food and beverage offerings and the spectacular new water park and poolside amenities make the JW Marriott Orlando one of the best resorts in the United States.  Along with the completed renovations of The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, the Grande Lakes Resort is a premier destination in Orlando of which we are extremely proud.”

Among the most notable renovations are the upgrades done to every one of the 1,010 guestrooms and suites in the JW Marriott Orlando. We’re talking new fixtures, textiles and furnishings—plus the addition of seven new executive family suites. These have some cool options that will fit just about any family, including two- and three-bedrooms with built-in bunkbeds, king beds for parents and separate living areas to keep everyone happy.

And those family suites come with VIP perks: clients reserving these will have a customized pre-arrival experience that includes guest services’ assistance in building an age-appropriate itinerary for the visiting kids; one in-room amenity treat per night (a chocolate or milk and cookies); board games and books and in-suite toys and activities geared for even the littlest littles.

The kids will no doubt zero in on the newly reconfigured and expanded Grande Lakes Waterpark’s lazy river and Headwaters Slide Tower with three slides, while the parents will welcome the private, full-service cabanas, restaurant and VIP firepit lounge. This is all about some serious R&R. (The waterpark officially opens Nov. 20, 2022.)

In addition to these attractions, poolside dining has also gotten a boost from Michelin-starred chef John Tesar and his new Knife Burger restaurant. The patties here aren’t your usual supermarket fare: this beef comes from a swanky high-end farm in Texas.

Indoors, the lobby bar awaits tired parents once they’ve put their littles to bed (they can ask the concierge about recommended babysitting services). The new EvrBar has signature cocktails, craft beer and nosh served with a side of panoramic views of the new waterpark.

To celebrate the completion of JW Marriot Orlando’s renovations, you can reserve the Grande Escape package for your clients using code D3Q. Valid Nov. 20 – 30 and Dec. 20 – 26, it includes 20 percent off the room rate, self-parking and a $50 nightly resort credit. The package is also available at The Ritz-Carlton, located right next door, and is valid Dec. 20 – 26 with complimentary valet parking instead of self-parking.
