Clients crazy about Florida theme parks and rollercoasters will now have something cool to look forward to in 2023 when SeaWorld Orlando debuts its new Pipeline: The Surf Coaster, which takes them on a wicked ride reminiscent of surfing a massive—you guessed it—pipeline.
“We are always looking for exciting ways to take thrills to a new level. This first-of-its-kind roller coaster will be the perfect addition to the already incredible lineup of attractions at SeaWorld Orlando,” said Kyle Miller, SeaWorld Orlando Park president, in a press statement. “SeaWorld Orlando will be the only place in the world to ride a roller coaster like this and we welcome everyone looking for the chance to experience it.”
SeaWorld Orlando Braces Riders for Thrilling New Attraction
This ride is not for the faint of heart. Riders on the Pipeline will get their adrenaline pumping from the surfing launch and the “wave jumping” motions of this unique surfboard-shaped ride vehicle. They will, of course, be securely strapped in—in a surfing position—and will be launched at top speeds. The feeling of “hanging ten” will be enhanced as the platforms rise and fall while they’re propelled through mind-numbing twists and turns.
The rollercoaster will take riders to heights of 110 feet in the air and even give them that “wipe-out” feeling as they upside down on a wave curl along the 2,950 feet of track. Max speeds of 60 miles per hour will be reached with five different airtime moments. And it all happens in one minute and 50 seconds of (hair-raising) time. Pipeline is SeaWorld’s seventh rollercoaster.
Clients who have their Annual Pass will have the chance to be among the first to experience Pipeline with SeaWorld Orlando’s Passport to Thrills program, plus they’ll be in line for special monthly giveaways. Annual Pass Members that have their Annual Pass scanned at the Pass Member lounge desk three times by Dec. 31, 2022, will score a free one-time Quick Queue for the new rollercoaster, valid for a one-time redemption from the roller coaster opening date to Dec. 31, 2023. Starting in November, the theme park will also offer monthly giveaways exclusively for annual Pass Members tied to Pipeline.
