G Adventures is offering a one-day Boston experience to encourage people to explore their local area and support local businesses during the ongoing pandemic.

The global tour company, whose U.S. headquarters is in Boston, offers tours in 100 countries around the world. G Adventures now wants to offer the opportunity for small local groups in Boston to discover adventure in their own backyard while they wait for international borders to reopen.

The new One Day in Boston: Sunrise to Sunset experience has been designed to offer a small, physically distanced group of 16 people a unique day out in Boston. The tour includes an early morning outdoor yoga session on the Common, a guided walk along the Black Heritage Trail, a bike tour into Cambridge, a history lesson in Chinatown and a sunset sail on a classic schooner.

“These new local experiences give us the chance to see our own city in a new light, and to recapture the feeling of curiosity that comes with traveling,” said Steve Lima, director of marketing, U.S., G Adventures, in a press release statement. “Boston is a city with so much to discover, even for life-long Bostonians, and we’re especially happy to be able to show off what we do best in our own neighborhood—give back through travel. Many of the businesses that we’ll visit on this tour have also suffered as a result of this pandemic, so it’s the perfect time to support our own while we wait patiently to be able to use our passports again.”

The full-day guided tour is priced from $259 pp, starting at 7:30 a.m. It runs on Saturday Sept. 26 and Saturday Oct. 3, 2020.
