Earlier this week, Dream Hotel Group announced plans to launch its five-star luxury brand The Chatwal in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico, marking the second Chatwal hotel location and the fourth hotel deal signed in Mexico in the last 18 months.

Located in the Baja California region of Mexico, just a 90-minute drive from San Diego, The Chatwal Valle de Guadalupe will feature 80 suites and 50 branded residences, a luxury spa and wellness concept, and three restaurant and bar venues that celebrate the winemaking and olive growing traditions of the region, including a private tasting room and wine cellar. Set to open in 2021, the boutique hotel will also offer horseback riding and sommelier courses.

“We are thrilled to bring The Chatwal brand to the city of Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico,” said Christian Glauser Benz, v.p. of development of Dream Hotel Group, in press materials. “The Chatwal brand is a great fit for this beautiful wine-growing region and represents everything that Baja California has to offer—world renown vineyards, award-winning gastronomy and a serene hilltop setting ideal for outdoor adventures and relaxation.”

This news comes on the heels of Dream Hotel Group’s recent announcements to open three new hotels in Mexico by 2021, including Unscripted Tulum, The Chatwal San Miguel de Allende and the also recently announced DRM Dream Valle de Guadalupe. With 19 hotels open today and another 20+ locations in various stages of development, Dream Hotel Group is on track to double its existing portfolio by 2022.
