Travel advisors looking to explore Central America this year can pack their bags for a weeklong Panama FAM hosted by Tara Tours.
Departing May 1, 2019, the FAM starts in Panama City, where advisors will be treated to a full day city and canal tour, highlighting the most relevant sites of the city and the Panama Canal Area, as well as the Miraflores Locks & Canal. Advisors will then spend two days in the Gamboa Rainforest, where they’ll take a boat into the Panama Canal to explore smaller waterways and visit hidden islands, plus take an aerial tram tour floating 280 ft. above the rainforest floor. Advisors will also have the opportunity to visit the indigenous village and people of the Embera tribe, as they experience their history and culture through traditional dances, craftsmanship, and a typical lunch. The next two days will be spent soaking up the sun at Playa Bonita before transferring back to Panama City for a final overnight stay.
