Velas Resorts has introduced the Velas Ambassador Club, a new rewards program designed for travel advisors in partnership with My Booking Rewards. This program enhances the benefits for advisors who book stays at Velas Resorts’ seven properties across Mexico, including Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, and Riviera Maya. Travel advisors in the US and Canada can register their bookings through direct channels or preferred partner platforms to earn rewards. The program also extends benefits for wedding and social group bookings, offering exclusive incentives.

Velas’ Tiered Rewards System

The Velas Ambassador Club features a tiered rewards system with three levels: Ambassador, Master and Elite. Advisors start at the Ambassador level by logging between three and 59 room nights, earning 1,000 welcome points and a day pass to select resorts. To reach the Master level, advisors must log between 60 and 119 room nights, receiving an additional 1,500 points. Elite status is achieved with 120 room nights or more, granting a 2,000-point bonus and up to 950 points per booking. These points can be redeemed for stays, in-suite amenities and more. Additionally, advisors earn cash bonuses of up to $75 per booking.

The program includes a training component with video lessons and quizzes for each resort. Upon completion, advisors receive a coupon book offering exclusive client benefits such as room upgrades, spa discounts and VIP amenities. The Velas Ambassador Club website supports group bookings for weddings and social events. Advisors booking at least ten rooms for three nights can earn up to a $500 cash bonus or a complimentary 2-night stay.

Of note: Velas Resorts has implemented detailed group booking policies. For high-season bookings of 10 to 30 suites per night, an initial non-refundable deposit of $100 per person is required. Subsequent 30 percent and 40 percent deposits must be paid 119 and 89 days before arrival, respectively, with the final payment due 45 days prior. Cancellation policies allow for a reduction in suite blocks with specific penalties for excess reductions. Low-season policies for 10 to 40 suites per night require similar deposits with varying percentages and timelines.

The Velas Ambassador Club also acknowledges the efforts of travel advisors by offering opportunities for FAM trips and recognition events. Plans to expand the program to advisors in Latin America and Europe are underway, with dedicated landing pages for easy registration.
