Variety Cruises has completed an extensive fleet-wide renovation project, which began in November 2024 and included comprehensive updates to all eight vessels in the company’s fleet, with a particular focus on two of its most popular ships sailing in Greek waters.
“As part of our commitment to providing unparalleled cruising experiences, we have invested significantly in our fleet to refresh and modernize our vessels so that they not only meet, but rather exceed, the expectations of our guests,” said Filippos Venetopoulos, CEO of Variety Cruises, in a press statement. “These enhancements are a reflection of our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to our passengers, providing guests with more comforts while on board our sustainable, immersive, destination-driven small ship adventures.”
The Variety Fleet Upgrade
The 157-foot wooden mega yacht M/S Galileo, which accommodates up to 49 passengers, returned to service on March 21, 2025, following its complete overhaul. While preserving the vessel’s warm, nautical atmosphere, renovations included new lounge seating with neutral tones, reconfigured public areas to improve both social spaces and quiet retreats, and a redesigned outdoor bar. All cabins received upgrades, including new lighting, carpeting and furniture, while the bathrooms were completely renovated with new showers, tiling and plumbing systems. Additional improvements included refreshed art throughout the ship and newly varnished wooden finishes.
Similar attention was given to the 179-foot M/Y Harmony V motor yacht, which also carries up to 49 passengers. Interior enhancements included replacing carpets with more practical wooden flooring, upgrading lounge furniture, installing new light fixtures, adding soundproofing and improving onboard signage. Bathrooms received deep cleaning and fixture polishing, while the sun deck benefited from woodwork refinishing, glass area renovation and aesthetic improvements.
The six other vessels in the fleet—Harmony G, Panorama, Panorama II, Variety Voyager, Pegasos, and Callisto—also underwent essential maintenance and updates. The company’s flagship, Variety Voyager, received comprehensive maintenance of its propulsion shafts, rudders and seals, alongside refreshes to its guest areas. On the Panorama, engineers replaced the engine exhaust silencer to reduce onboard noise and vibration.
Variety Cruises’ Advisor Promotion Still is On
Variety Cruises has also recently launched a new online portal designed to streamline the booking process, offering flexible options for cabins, dates, and destinations. The company continues to offer its Sell Three & Sail Free promotion, which allows advisors who book three cabins on eligible itineraries to earn a complimentary cruise for two. This incentive can be used as a familiarization trip or as a promotional tool for clients. The offer now includes itineraries in Italy, Malta and the Adriatic Sea, as well as Tahiti and French Polynesia.
