The Mexican Caribbean is celebrating the opening of The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya, the latest star in the brand’s Latin American constellation. In keeping with its tradition of respecting local cultures and environments and embedding them into its DNA, your clients will find this glamourous retreat has brought the Mayan World into every aspect—even the architecture—allowing them to immerse themselves in the region fully.

“Kanai is a vibrant oasis yet to be discovered by many global travelers, but with its striking natural surroundings, rich cultural history, and inherent connection to the land, it is set to take its place among the world’s most coveted leisure destinations,” said George Fleck, v.p. and global brand leader for St. Regis Hotels and Resorts, in a press statement. “We are thrilled to welcome The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya, to our expanding global portfolio of legendary hotels and resorts. The St. Regis brand’s founding family, the Astors, were known for seeking out exquisite locations around the globe for their collection of homes, hosting luminaries and vanguards of the day in the most breathtaking natural surroundings. With The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya, we are continuing the legacy of that timeless era of luxury, offering our guests a glamorous hideaway and escape to the extraordinary.”

More Details on The St. Regis Kanai Resort

One of the first things your clients will notice is the architecture: it’s circular, taking a cue from the Mayans’ interest in the Pleiades constellation, which gives just about every area an ocean view with the entire resort suspended above a mangrove forest and connected by elevated walkways. The materials used and the interior design are also inspired by this ancient yet still living and breathing culture, as are the menus in the many restaurant choices and some of the unique treatments offered at The St. Regis Spa. The resort is also very family-centered and offers the brand’s Family Traditions program for the littles while also offering adults their own space with adult-only pools. Note: both family and adult-only pools have huge private cabanas.

The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya, is one of the more intimate hotels on this stretch of the Mexican Caribbean, with only 124 guestrooms and 19 suites—plus a 2,300 sq. ft. Presidential Suite for your top-tier clients. And, as with every St. Regis property, every room category comes with the St. Regis Signature Butler Service. Have a client with a special celebration? The new hotel has 50,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space at their disposal.
