Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ newest ship, Seven Seas Grandeur, will be christened this December by Sarah Fabergé, founding member of The Fabergé Heritage Council, and great-granddaughter of the great Peter Carl Fabergé, he of the extraordinary Russian royal family “Imperial” eggs.
“As a founding member of the Fabergé Heritage Council, Sarah symbolizes the shared ethos and distinctive qualities that define our two eminent luxury brands and is, therefore, the ideal Godmother of our newest ship, Seven Seas Grandeur,” said Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, in a press statement. “We are deeply honored to name Sarah Fabergé as Godmother, and I am delighted to welcome her to the Regent Seven Seas Cruises family.”
The Luxurious Seven Seas Grandeur Gears Up for a Party
The exclusive gala event for the Seven Seas Grandeur christening will take place on Dec. 10, 2023, in Mimi, Florida, with actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth in attendance as well. Then the ship will head off on a 3-night Caribbean christening cruise, after which it will return to port to begin its maiden Caribbean season. If your clients will be in attendance, tell them to keep an eye out for Sarah Fabergé’s jewelry: she’ll be wearing bespoke earrings and a ring specifically designed for the event made of 18k white gold and featuring blue guilloché enamel, white diamonds and pearls. The pieces will be auctioned off for charity in 2024.
Of note: Fabergé will be hosting her own Fabergé Spotlight Voyage in 2024. Book clients on this journey departing July 1 and they will be immersed in the world of Fabergé complete with small group master-class programs, exclusive access tours and more. This will be a 10-night sailing departing from Rome and ending at Monte Carlo.
The Seven Seas Grandeur can welcome only 746 guests to its exquisitely designed suites–15 categories in all–with white glove service and superior dining choices and entertainment options. The ship’s inaugural season begins in November 2023 with 18 sailings in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, plus two transatlantic voyages. Note these sailings come with unlimited, free and immersive shore excursions.
