Pleasant Holidays and its luxury brand, Journese, have lowered trip deposit requirements for all Caribbean and Mexico destinations by 75 percent, while deposits for all other destinations in their portfolio remain unchanged.
The new deposits have decreased from $200 pp to $50 pp. The lower deposits apply to all new Caribbean and Mexico vacation bookings for travel anytime. Deposits for flights, trip protection and other travel components will be collected at time of booking as required by the airlines and other suppliers. The remainder of the booking balance is due 45 days prior to trip departure.
“We believe the lower deposits for the Caribbean and Mexico make the Company more competitive while helping travel advisors compete more effectively with online travel agencies and membership-based travel companies,” said Jack E. Richards, Pleasant Holidays president and CEO, in press materials.
Pleasant Holidays and Journese offer more than 500 hotels and all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico, including Sandals and Beaches Resorts, Excellence Group Luxury Resorts, Playa Hotels & Resorts, AMResorts, Riu Hotels & Resorts and more.
