2023 is a year of big news from the hospitality group Accor with the announcement of new properties, renovations to existing hotels and a slew of new experiences across North and Central America.

Unique experiences are what’s on tap for Fairmont with their new Beyond LIMITS program, launched in late 2022. These are found exclusively at properties in North and Central America, for example, in Hawaii, Fairmont Orchid’s Pauoa Bay Underwater Ballet, Fairmont Banff’s Haute O2—a cliffside oxygen bar—, or Fairmont Mayakoba’s Symphony in a Cenote, which is happening on May 14, among others still to be launched.

Other experiences include Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello’s new BRP Experience Center in Canada, offering half or full-day Can-Am Winter Off-Road Experiences and a brand-new Ski-Doo Experience. Ask about the Clicquot in the Snow bonfire and cabin bar. In the Caribbean, Fairmont El San Juan Hotel has new programming in the Chico Cabaret and The Lobby—the place to see and be seen—as well as refreshing its fitness schedule.

Along that same wellness vein, Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa has partnered with luxury Sonoma Apothecary to give your clients the very best in their Mission Spa Suites, and Fairmont Empress is debuting a new signature spa treatment inspired by their famous Empress 1908 Gin.

Foodie clients will be impressed by Accor’s 2023 lineup of eateries as well. Fairmont Grand Del Mar’s Addison Restaurant received its thrid Michelin star last December, Fairmont Olympic Seattle’s George restaurant has a gorgeous new look, Sofitel Mexico City Refoma’s 38th-floor Cityzen Rooftop Kitchen is getting a facelift this year and Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise has finally opened their Louiza Restaurant.

Accor’s Openings and Renovations

Early this year, Accor celebrated the opening of the 159-guestroom Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo Panama in what was once the site of the Union Club of Panama in the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. Opening this summer, Raffles Boston Back Bay Hotel & Residences will add 147 guestrooms and 146 residences to the skyline in a new 35-story building. Over in the Riviera Maya, Fairmont Mayakoba is debuting a multi-million-dollar refresh that touched every guestroom, casita and suite, plus restaurants and bars and just about every public area, adding a stylish new beach club for everyone in the family. In Calgary, Fairmont Palliser is on a $4.5 million renovation of the event space, which should be done by the end of this month. Additional property renovations and upgrades include Fairmont Tremblant, Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Kea Lani and Fairmont Empress.
