Two boutique-style Hiltons will soon be debuting in Mexico—The Fives Downtown Hotel Playa del Carmen, and 1970 Hotel Posadas Guadalajara, both of which are Curio Collection by Hilton properties (there are a total of nine Hiltons set to debut across the country in the next couple of years). The Playa del Carmen property, slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2017 and located in the destination’s hip Quinta Avenida neighborhood, is a 93-room newbuild that will feature a full-service spa with hydrotherapy treatment, a 1,300-sq.-ft. fitness center, and rooftop infinity pool with deck and DJ booth. The rooftop will also showcase a pool bar and lounge, a restaurant and a signature cocktail bar. A new coastal community is springing up along the Pacific coast of Los Cabos, the 834-acre Rancho San Lucas, which will be home to the Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort, Golf & Spa.
