Riviera Nayarit is inviting travelers to explore Mexico’s Pacific Treasure from the comfort of their own homes with virtual tours and more.
Since March 31, Riviera Nayarit has shared virtual experiences, recipes and cooking tips, webinars and other activities on its social media channels using the hashtag #StayHomewithRivieraNayarit. The destination has also created informative webinars for both travelers and travel advisors.
The destination has affirmed its commitment to the safety of travelers while respecting the preventive measures in place due to COVID-19, and will be maintaining a continuous presence on its communication channels to encourage travelers to visit the destination once the health crisis has passed.
“Dear traveling friends, we are facing a challenge that we will overcome together by working as a team,” said Marc Murphy, managing director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau, in a press release statement. “Together we will move ahead and when we do, we will be here waiting for you with open arms.”
Riviera Nayarit’s followers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube have been enjoying a new video posted each day from its coastal villages and other iconic places such as Bucerias, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Marina Riviera Nayarit, Marina Paradise Village, Mercado del Mar, and El Tigre Golf Club.
Meanwhile, resorts such as Hard Rock Vallarta, Marival Distinct & Marival Emotions, Royal Decameron Complex, Reflect Grand Nuevo Vallarta, Paradise Village, and Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos have also joined in with videos of their own. Chef Betty Vazquez, culinary ambassador for the Riviera Nayarit, has shared some of her recipes, while mixology ambassador Israel Diaz has shared his tips on the best cocktails.
Villa Group has shared gardening tips; Reflect Grand Nuevo Vallarta offers handicrafts; Capoeira Nayarit’s Gaspar de Abada has given capoeira tips; tequila basics have come from Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit; and Tom Stickney has shared golf tips from Punta Mita’s courses. Activities and events have included the production of “Faust” by the San Pancho Children’s Circus; San Pancho’s Entre Amigos Community Center; Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica; and Day of the Dead in Sayulita.
The next two weeks will see scheduled videos such as a streamed performance of “Midsummer Night’s Dream” from the Children’s Circus in San Pancho; a virtual tour of San Blas with chef Betty Vazquez; a virtual tour of Marival Armony and W Punta de Mita hotels; cooking tips with Villa Group; ecotourism activities in Vista Paraiso; the Polo Cup at La Patrona in San Pancho; a contemporary Huichol performance, and more.
