Royal Uno All Inclusive Resort & Spa has opened in Cancun’s Hotel Zone. The opening marks the completion of the first phase of the family-friendly, 540-room beachfront property in Mexico, with the second phase due to be completed later this summer.
Royal Uno, part of Royal Resorts, is celebrating the milestone by offering guests 25 percent off their stay, $500 in resort credit and complimentary one-way private airport transfer as part of its Mid-Year offer. The offer can be booked until Aug. 15 for stays until Dec. 15, 2023.
The modern design of Royal Uno mixes details that speak to Cancun’s heritage, including the terrace tiles found in the common areas that mimic those often found in traditional haciendas in Yucatan, with colors inspired by the coral reefs, fish and plant life found in the Caribbean Sea. The hotel boasts panoramic views of the Caribbean and Nichupte Lagoon.
There are 11 different types of 1- and 2-bedroom rooms and suites to choose from that sleep up to eight guests, from the Authentic Uno Suite (Junior Suite Double) with two queen beds that sleeps two adults and two children to the 1,620 sq. ft. 2-bedroom Uno Beachfront Grand Suite with Whirlpool with one king bed, two queen beds and two murphy beds that sleeps six adults and two children. Prices for an oceanview Authentic Uno Suite start at $289 per night, whereas a beachfront option of the same style suite starts at $309 per night. Prices for the Uno Beachfront Grand Suite with Whirlpool start at $977 per night.
The Mexican resort boasts two restaurants, one focused on international cuisine and the other serving Mexican dishes, a snack shack offering Mexican street food favorites and four bars that serve cocktails and lite bites. Two further restaurants are due to open as part of phase two. The property also has three pools, including one reserved just for kids and a lagoon where guests can go sailing and kayak. The Alea Spa and fitness center are due to open later this summer when phase two finishes.
Royal Uno also features plenty of amenities for children and families including the Uno Kids Club for children aged four to 12. The club has a designated play area with slides and games and programming such as sports, arts and crafts, movies, treasure hunts and pinata parties. There is also a mini water park, activities like Bumper pool, soccer, ping pong, volleyball and video games for teens and Cancool—a family area with a foosball table, movies and board games.
Royal Uno All Inclusive Resort & Spa is 20 minutes from Cancun International Airport. Guests can check out the nearby Maya Museum and San Miguelito archaeological ruins on the museum’s campus or drive 10 minutes for golf courses, shopping malls and nightclubs.
