Jamaica has extended its JAMGETAWAY promotion, which kicked off post-Beryl, to successfully help its community get back on its feet. The promo offers up to 65 percent discounts at 50 hotels across six resort areas; it applies to travel from Sept. 1 to Dec. 1, 2024, with bookings to be made by Aug. 16, 2024.

This extension follows the island’s strong tourism performance, with over 2.4 million visitors in 2024 to date, including 240,000 who remained on the island after Hurricane Beryl in July.

“Jamaica’s incredible resilience and steadfast spirit has allowed us to sustain a thriving tourism product and keep us on track to welcome five million visitors by next year. We are incredibly appreciative of the support, so have decided to extend this limited-time savings offer for those looking to enjoy Jamaica’s beautiful and vibrant experience before the end of the year,” said Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism, Jamaica, in a press statement.

Jamaica’s Promotion Boosts Occupation

The promotion is accessible through travel agents using the code JAMGETAWAY. This extension aims to maintain Jamaica’s tourism momentum and express gratitude to visitors for their continued support.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to thank visitors than with an opportunity to save on their next visit, whether it’s for a last-minute fall getaway or a warm weather winter escape. Jamaica’s warm hospitality and vibrant personality is what truly makes the ‘vibe come alive’, and we look forward to welcoming both new and returning visitors to enjoy this unique distinction,” said Donovan White, Director of Tourism, Jamaica, in a press statement.

Jamaica’s tourism industry has demonstrated resilience despite recent challenges, including Hurricane Beryl’s impact. The extended offer allows your clients to experience Jamaica’s attractions at reduced rates, potentially boosting visitor numbers during the fall and early winter seasons.

By leveraging this promotion to attract clients interested in Caribbean destinations, you’ll help Jamaica maintain its position as a leading destination and work towards its goal of five million visitors by 2025.
