Universal Orlando has unveiled new details and photos of its highly anticipated signature resort, the Helios Grand Hotel. Set to open next year, the 500-room Helios Grand Hotel will be located adjacent to the new Universal Epic Universe theme park.
Drawing inspiration from Mediterranean architecture with celestial motifs paying homage to the Greek god of the sun, Helios, the new hotel features a dedicated park entrance for guests and views of the Celestial Park area of Epic Universe.
A Lowes Hotel
A collaborative project between the Universal Creative team and Loews Hotels & Co, Helios Grand Hotel’s guestrooms, designed to depict the tranquility of a Greek garden, include the How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suites for families. Inspired by the animated film, the suites are Viking-themed and include murals from the film.
Additional amenities at the Universal Helios Grand Hotel include:
- Bar Helios: A rooftop lounge serving tapas and specialty cocktails. The lounge boasts 360-degree views of Epic Universe.
- Resort-style pool: Zero-entry pool with underwater speakers, poolside cabanas available for rent, a hot tub, poolside movies and recreational activities.
- Flora Taverna: A full-service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with a lobby bar. The space also includes an open-style kitchen with live cooking views, Mediterranean comfort foods, pizza ovens and al fresco seating overlooking Celestial Park.
- Aurora Market: A coffee shop and market offering coffee, grab-and-go food items, snacks and dessert options.
- Lotus Lagoon: A poolside bar and grill serving burgers, sandwiches, salads, cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Other hotel amenities: Complimentary fitness center for guests, arcade game room and a Universal Orlando Resort Store.
Guests staying at the Helios Grand Hotel, or any Universal Orlando hotel, enjoy early access to select attractions across the theme parks—a perk that will extend to Universal’s Epic Universe when it opens in 2025. With the addition of the Helios Grand, Universal Orlando’s hotel portfolio grows to 11 properties, offering a total of 11,000 guestrooms across all resorts.
